Aaron, Thanks for your responses: >> 8) A quick method to save a source member like the Ctrl-Shift-N to open a member. >I think Ctrl + S is what you are looking for. You will find this to work > in 99% of all PC apps where you are editing text What I'm looking for is a save-as option. i.e., A way to save a member either to a new file or a new name. A quick way to do a save as -- like Ctrl-Shift-N where I can specify the library, source-file, and member name to save to without having to browse my way around. >>...(Oftentimes, the compile options are greyed out when editing a >> member.) >Your source member is either not in focus or it is in the act of being > saved to the iSeries, most likely. The member is in focus. I see what you're saying that the member could be in the process of being saved. But if the save is still in process, I would like the workbench to give me some indication of that. All I see is that I repeatedly click on the Compile menu option and my options are greyed out over and over again. I guess this may just be one of the drawbacks of working in an asynchronous environment I can kind of understand not wanting to wait for the save before I can do anything else, but currently the workbench gives a false impression that the source is already safe on the 400.
