This style is applied to fields 3 characters wide and less to expand the input field a bit. If they are too small then I would expect that the value for onecharwidth is being calculated incorrectly for some reason. Does this happen on the first screen only or on later screens as well? Did the "some program mods" include changes to the WebFacing runtime? Mike Mike Hockings, P.Eng. WebSphere Development Tools for AS/400 - CODE/Designer & WebFacing ! IBM Canada Ltd. The DDS screen formats were unchanged. After reconverting, some of the resulting jsp fields are displayed as less than one character wide. I've checked the .jsps, and each field which has a problem has the following appended to the field definition : STYLE="width:<%=oneCharWidth*2+4%>" None of the unaffected fields have this STYLE tag. I can't find where in the conversion the STYLE tag is added, so I can't see why it is being applied to some fields, and not others. I'd be grateful for any pointers.
