webfacing - jsp field length issue

WDSCi v5.0

I have recently re-converted an application after some
program mods. The DDS screen formats were unchanged.
After reconverting, some of the resulting jsp fields
are displayed as less than one character wide.

I've checked the .jsps, and each field which has a
problem has the following appended to the field
definition :

STYLE="width:<%=oneCharWidth*2+4%>"

None of the unaffected fields have this STYLE tag.

I can't find where in the conversion the STYLE tag is
added, so I can't see why it is being applied to some
fields, and not others.

I'd be grateful for any pointers.
