It depends. One of the "issues" with Eclipse (which WDSC is built on) is that they "invented" their own GUI toolkit named SWT instead of using the standard Java GUI toolkit of AWT/Swing. So in addition to porting the code to run within the Eclipse plugin framework, GUI code often has to be rewritten for SWT. The SWT layer is one of the reasons why Eclipse looks like a Windows application instead of a Java application. SWT uses the native operating system GUI to draw on the screen so apps look and feel like a native application on the platform they run on, including adopting any themes/skins that have been applied to the OS. Eclipse 3.0 is adding a new feature to allow AWT/Swing to be used in plugins. The idea is to make it easier for apps to get initially converted to Eclipse plugins. Eventually they should be converted to SWT, however, as the combined UI can look "jarring" in some cases. Anyway, long story short, I do not think that iSeries Navigator uses SWT, even though some of it is in Java.
