I tried to restart WDSCi and it tells me the .LOCK file is in use. I alt-tab around and I can't find WDSCi running anywhere. I try to delete the file but XP says it is in use. Looks like a reboot is in order at this point. (Continued) The saga continues. (Home, 56kb modem, running Update Manager.) Tonight I cranked up WDSCi expecting to find the 5.1.0.1 update still available. It had gone. Told it to search for updates and it ran for well over an hour, just like last night. Then I told it to update. It started downloading things. Looked good. Then it started on a big jar--I recollect the size rolling up to 9000K at least while I kept casual attention while reading. Then it quit and I got this in a window: Unable to complete action for feature "WebSphere Studio Site Developer (Windows)" due to errors. Unable to complete action for feature "WebSphere Studio Workbench SDK (Windows) Language Pack 1" due to errors. I click OK on the dialog and then I can click finish again. It quickly runs through all the stuff it has downloaded, then it dies again with the same message. It isn't that I lost my connection--I'm sending this message without reconnection. I clicked cancel and went back to the Update Manager and started the Install again. It zipped through everything and finished. Then it said I needed to restart the workbench for the changes to take effect and did I want to restart. I said yes, it went away, but didn't restart. I'm going to send this message before I restart it. Sam
