Jon, I am really confused now. To recap though: you have to create a new
filter pool first, and
then create a new filter in that pool to have it only appear in one
connection. You can't just
use the old filter pool that we created for you, as we explicitly create
that one to be referenced
in every connection. That is the default pool's designed behaviour, and
switching to Show
Filter Pools mode does not change that behaviour, it merely makes the pools
visible to you.

What do you mean by "PDM style options"? I think you mean the filter
parameters ... you won't
see those when creating a filter pool. A filter pool is just a named
collection of filters, so we
merely prompt for the name of the pool. When you subsequently select the
new pool, and
right click and select New->XXX Filter, you'll see the usual filter
parameters prompt. Alternatively,
after creating your new filter pool, turn off show filter pool mode again,
and this time when you
expand the Work With Libraries.... prompt, the 2nd page of the filter
wizard will prompt you for
the filter pool to target, and you can select your new filter pool from the
list.

 >> Do you mean after Susan created a new filter and explicitly selected
the
new pool, the new filter appeared in multiple connections?

Yup - that's exactly what happens - but - it is not a new filter pool - it
is just the original one which now shows up (once for each connection) in
the RSE view.

I have rechecked mine and in fact it works the same way that Susan's does -
must have been having a senior moment earlier!

Since you mentioned "new" filter, I tried creating one, but when you do
that
the PDM style options do not show up, which makes it a lot less useful.
