Do you have the latest updates for 5.1 installed? There are some editor
performance fixes in the 5.1.0.1 updates now available.

If you are connected to the Internet then you can go to Help --> Software
Updates -> New Updates . This will automatically search for updates. I
think there are 4 or 5 updates (to various parts of the product stack
(workbench, WSSD / WSAD and WDSc)) and they get installed one at a time so
after each one is installed (each requires a Workbench restart) you need to
go back and run the search again until no more updates are found.

If you use a HTTP proxy server for connecting to the Internet then you will
need to specify this first on the Windows --> Preferences: Install/Update
preference page.

Yes, I'm very comfortable with the code editor too, but IBM is going to
stop
enhancing it eventually if they haven't done so already, so I'm checking
out
WDSC 5.1 and the LPEX editor. (And there is no doubt that IBM is improving
it.) I'm wrapping up a heavy coding project and I'm going to keep banging
on it next week--probably post some more questions.
