#2. I took a closer look at this and I see that the resequencing preference only applies for editors of certain languages (not including C). #3. The file caching happens regardless of whether you're working offline or not. In contrast, "Work offline" uses caching of host information while disconnected. Unfortunately, there is no RSE integration with the RU list so if you open files that way, they're opened without the required checking that RSE needs to do in order to pick up a newer host member instead. ____________________________________ David McKnight Phone: 905-413-3902 , T/L: 969-3902 Internet: dmcknigh@xxxxxxxxxx Mail: D1/643/8200/TOR ____________________________________ |---------+------------------------------------> | | Vern Hamberg | | | <vhamberg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx| | | nology.com> | | | Sent by: | | | wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxx| | | com | | | | | | | | | 02/07/2003 04:46 PM | | | Please respond to | | | Websphere Development | | | Studio Client for iSeries| | | | |---------+------------------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries <wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> | | cc: | | Subject: RE: [WDSCI-L] Source resequencing? | | | | | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| #2. It looks like resequencing works on a save with CL (Ctrl-S). I've set the preferences to do this. But it does not resequence with C source. #3. I'm not sure if I am officially using caching. But I made a change to a CL member that I'd saved in RSE, then changed in SEU. From the RU list it opened the local copy, from a member in a file-filter it opened up the one from the iSeries - no prompt. But again, I've not turned on caching explicitly. In Preferences, Work offline is unchecked. Cheers Vern At 03:46 PM 7/2/2003 -0400, you wrote: >#2. For the sake of consistency, you're right, this should be allowed.
