I don't know about XP, I won't use it.  Everything here is based on my W2K
experiences.  First off, 256MB is way underpowered.  You should have at
LEAST 512MB, and 1GB preferred.

Only 120MB?  That's small!  My is normally at 170MB or more.  WDSC uses lots

That's normal.  It's kind of strange how the minimizing drops the memory
usage so much, but I guess WDSC releases all its widgets when it minimizes.
I don't know how that happens, to be honest, but yeah it happens on my
machine as well.

I believe this.  You need more memory.  Preferably lots more.
