size of CODEServer.xml -- WDSCI-L

My copy of CODEServer.xml is 40,961 kb.  

When I looked in C:\Program Files\IBM\Shared Files, I found 7 archived copies
(ending in .1, .2 ... .7) so I renamed one of them. At 1kb is size, the comm
daemon could actually load and not take 98% of my cpu.

Anyone know what happened here?
