Don't recall that you mentioned that before. Perhaps your machine is a little slower/memory challenged than IBM would like it to be? I had this problem loading V5 on a PIII laptop with 192Mb of memory. It seems to be a timing issue related to the install running multiple threads. I cured it in the end by copying _all_ of the CD images to a hard drive directory (on another machine as I did not have the space) - mapping a network drive and installing from there. Worked fine with no silly messages. Hope this works for you. PS. I did uninstall before starting the install over. There were also some dup files on CDs 1 and 2 - I ended up placing each CD in its own subdirectory - but I think the contents were identical so it probably wouldn't have mattered.
