How much have did you use 4.0. I used it pretty heavily for about 3-4 months and think that 5.0 has some definite improvements in speed (still not fast of course:-). Uploading and downloading source members was a huge time hog and isn't so much in 5.0. Hi, I also haven't seen much of the promise that WDSc 5 would be faster than WDSc 4. Hardware is PIV 2.4 GHz with 512 MB RAM... not that it is slow on it (but fast is something else). I just wanted to view the outline of a program, I am going on 1/2 hour to see it. I cancelled it, but still is taking forever. Now granted the compile listing is over 1000 pages long, but still, I would think it would be faster than that on a 1 Gh Celeron with 512 MB of RAM. Yes... the cheap skates gave me a celeron. _______________________________________________ This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
