Hi all

We just had our first test of running a Webfaced application served from
our 730 rather than on the developer's PC. Having got the latest 5722DG1
PTFs in place to get Tomcat (we're on V5R1) and configured the in-process
server I was looking forward to seeing the test app run. Unfortunately I
just got a page telling me I had to be running IE for WebFacing - not an
option on my Linux box. I had mistakenly assumed that browser based would
mean works in a browser, rather than works in IE :(

Is this still a requirement in 5.0 (We're using WDSC 4.0 at the moment,
though I plan on getting 5.0 in the near future) and is it likely to
remain a requirement in future versions? I know the client software will
only run on Windows, but I had hoped the finished application would be
less choosy. On that note, are there any plans on making WDSC cross
platform at some point in the future?

Regards, Martin
