Someone here WebFaced an iSeries application using raw DDS with no problems. Then went back and made a simple CFKey (function key) change, added some fields, and recompiled. Then tried to reconvert the DDS and now gets an error about bean not found error 500 and jsp file not found error 404, etc. The new fields are not in the jsp's. Anyone experience these problems? We are referencing "WebFacing Tool for Converting 5250 apps" and "Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Bringing New Life into 5250 Applicaitons". Another question: If we make screen design changes to pretty them up for the web (maybe changing the JSP's), then upload the new DDS, would we lose those screen changes? I think the answer is yes but I want to make sure there is not something we are missing. Is WDSC 5.0 supposed to have any major WebFacing changes? We are all new at this here and some of us get so frustrated with WebFacing we just stop fiddling with it. Especially when we have looming deadlines. Maybe if we had proper training we wouldn't be so frustrated. I have no experience whatsoever with WebFacing but it seems like there is a gap there between iSeries developers and PC developers. I heard mention on this list of using TurnOver for web changes. Anyone have documentation on that? We have TurnOver. Also, if anyone knows of a good and simple WebFacing demo, documentation, etc that focuses on iSeries developers, please let me know. Maybe like an "iSeries WebFacing for Dummies" book for free? :) Thanks, Craig Strong
