There is a subproject called CDT for developing a first-class C/C++ development environment. http://www.eclipse.org/tools/index.html They are focused on supporting Linux and Unix, but hopefully a lot of it, especially things like the basic editor, will be usable to anyone. There was an original version of this that was based on LPEX and contributed by IBM that you can still get and probably load into WDSc. For whatever reason, the Eclipse group decided to start over and the people at QNX are now leading the effort. They are using Eclipse as the primary IDE for their platform so they have a lot of motivation to do this well. Unfortunately, it means the new stuff will take a while to be GA. Also, keep in mind that the new stuff is all built on Eclipse 2, so you would have to wait until the next version of WDSc is avaiable before you can use it. Hopefully, once the CDT is stabilized the Toronto people will figure out how to leverage it to provide good iSeries support. Or they may be working on their own version? Mark
