Re: What are you doing with .NET and integrating into IBM i?

Right now for us, we're moving off the IBM i next year because there is
not an ERP/MIS package for the printing industry that runs on it. I
looked high and low to find one, but just couldn't. So right now we are
using .Net to bridge the gap between our IBM i and the new web store
that we are putting up... but it'll all get ripped out and reintegrated
as soon as we launch the new MIS in late 2013 or early 2014. I love
this system, and was hired here a year ago to take over as the senior
programmer/analyst... but as with technology, business must move forward
too and our industry has nothing in the way of IBM i software...

With that said... I've been pleasantly surprised by .Net. I dusted off
my of VB skills and then began learning VB.net before abandoning it and
standardizing our shop on C#. So, let the games begin!!!
