The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Use an installer such as Advanced Installer (which we use) .

Install to a consistent location.
Bigger question would be how are you going to guarantee that your APP ran and did its thing ?
Might want to consider letting the iSeries update the SQL database directly using some of the FREEWARE products or a commercial product such as our RPG2SQL Integrator.

I have a small console application that I wrote to update some info in our webstore's sql database from the IBM i system. The application works great, but I want to let one of our 5250 users to run the app via a green screen menu. So I want to use RUNRMTCMD to do that. The issue is that the .Net program was packaged and installed with ClickOnce.
This is an issue because, besides being new to .Net programming, that ClickOnce puts apps in some crazy directory structure, and if you update the app, it will change! So should I redo the package and install using Windows Installer? Or is the ClickOnce thing usable?
