Hmmm..Interesting use of .Net and a Special file.

Would definitely be interested in seeing a write-up of what you're
doing. If you want to post some sample code some of us may be able to
help you streamline the concept code.

That being said, I don't see a reason why calling a program with 50
parms would be such a bad thing if they all have a purpose in life :-)

Should be fast enough.

I am passing a whole DDS screen back and forth from .NET to RPG. This
allows me to interface with our existing RPG programs and still use the
business logic within. The RPG program is using a SPECIAL file to do the
interfacing from the old program to .NET. So all I really have to change
in the original RPG program is add a bunch of if statements.

This works great for display only, but now I want a two-way
communication to pass a large number of fields back and forth. I
personally don't think it makes sense to have 50 parameters being passed
back and forth when they aren't being used on the green-screen side of
things.
