I'm currently using a CD 7SEPT01US date of issue 05/06/02 - September 2001
System manager PTFs & System21 Explorer. It seems to work fine for us.

Re: [SYSTEM21] FW: Installation Problem
Mike, there is a January 2000 Edition of JBA Explorer that I have used
since
the introduction of Windows XP. You'll need to get it from INFOR.

The firewall was off and Defender isn't installed. He is a member of
the Administrators group. Anything else I can check? Does anyone know
of someone having the same problem. Last time something like this
happened, it was Service Pack 2 that broke it. I was able to get around
that. I'm wondering if there was a recent patch that came out that
might be interfering with JBA Explorer. Is there a way to look up the
error?

Mike,
you might try disabling firewall and/or defender if running
or changing user to be admin of local meachine to see if security
issues.

Has anyone seen this? I now have 3 computers that are getting this
error. Is there a place anyone can direct me to find out what this
might be? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Subject: Installation Problem
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this
problem. I'm installing the JBA Explorer June 1999 Edition on a fully
updated Windows XP laptop. Actually, this has now happened twice. I
have been installing the software for years so I'm very confident that
I'm installing it correctly. However, when I go to do the System
Configuration portion of the installation I am getting the following
error:
"Runtime error '-2147417848 (80010108)'; Automation Error"
I've had problems with Service Pack 2 before but have gotten around
it.
This is the first time I've ever had problems when Service Pack 2 has
been installed before the installation of JBA and it worked just fine.
It seems to be hit and miss. I would like to be able to solve this
problem without having to reconfigure the whole machine.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Mike Kaupert
