The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
It seems straight forward enough but testing is not yielding the results I
thought it would.
I am loading MSP75 and running the MPS function but the MSP75 records are
not being pulled into MPS. I was expecting the MPS to create the necessary
demand and I would have visibility to the demand in the "Review MPS"
function. The items are defined as MPS items so I am not sure where to look
for a problem.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Jim.

Hi Jim,
We have all most same setup. Our forecast module collects data for each
salesman with customer/item/year/period beginning of the session. Once
all the forecast data are approved, we consolidate by item/year/period
and write to MSP75 (MPS/MRP Item forecast file) and from then on data is
maintain by item/year/period.
MSP75 will populate data to MPS/MRP run. We have been using this way for
some time and user seems to be happy with forecast details & demand.
Please let me know if you need more detail.
Cheers
Suren

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Forecast/MRP interfacing.
Greetings,
I wonder if there is anyone out there that could offer some guidance on
how I go about interfacing a bespoke "forecast" application into
MRP/MPS.
I have reviewed the (Focus) Forecast module and the MRP/MPS forecasting
modules but I am not convinced my approach is sound.
We have a very simple customer forecast application where anticipated
sales are maintained by the salesmen for each customer/item/year/period.
I would like this data to appear as demand in the MRP/MPS application.
What would be the best way of doing this? Do I need to load the data
into the MRP/MPS forecast application or do I load it into MRP/MPS
directly and if so, which files should I be looking at ?
Thanks in advance,
Jim.
