Hi Srimal Athukorale

When using S21 Aurora with workspace server, my understanding is that this
feature comes with the system. And you can send emails for all sorts of
things. i.e. orders, invoices etc. For faxes (yes, some companies refuse to
accept emails), S21 has a partner company that has written Fax software
specifically for S21.

We are using Aurora without workspace server but I have modified OE to send
out emails with Order Entry (user can choose to send or not and to whom). I
convert the order confirmation print to PDF first and email the PDF as an
attachment. The responsible worker is always in the email list. I then
archive the list of email addresses and send another email out to all in the
archive for that order the moment we receive the POD (which is done
automagically via an EDI connection to our logistics company). I do the same
for PO's. Requires a little tweaking of the S21 contacts file e.g. emails
addresses are not validated and I don't know what the designer was thinking
of when he built the LF key. Whatever he was smoking at the time... I want
some of it! :)

Regards
Kit

Hi List,

Has any one tried to generate email alerts from S/21.

For eg.

If the customer exceds credit limit an email should
triger to Credit manager informing about the credit
informaton about that perticular customer.

All ideas are wellcome,

Regards,
