The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Our solution to this issue was to create PO's to be received into a
different stockroom and to modify the product costing option - Transfer
costs to Inventory to check for the existence a part in a new Inventory
Descriptions file table. If an entry in the table exists then the cost
will not be transferred. This enables us to keep 2 different costs for
the same part.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Purchase and Manufacture at the Same Time
All
We wish to buy in parts that we already manufacture, is there a easy
method of doing this - we have thought about a new purchase part with a
suffix, on receipt we transfer to another stock room as the manufactured
part.
Any quick ideas / pitfalls would be appreciated.
Thanks
John
