PO Receipt

Help!!

Has anyone seen anything like this?

After a PO receipt of a scheduled order, I end up with the following:
(I'm convinced the receipt quantity was 11,340 as this is what was printed on 
the label).

IN movement type P: 
movement quantity = minus 40,000
Purchase Order Line (PMP03):
order quantity = minus 40,000
receipt quantity = minus 40,000
reservation quantity = plus 40,000 (RESERVATIONS are not used)
Purchase Order Transaction Line (PMP09):
order quantity = minus 40,000
receipt quantity = minus 40,000

The purchase order line that was stamped with the latest date last changed 
(which I can only assume is how it looked before this receipt) was:
order quantity = 1000
receipt quantity = 0
outstanding quantity = 0
reservation quantity = 0

This is brain hurting stuff!! Any ideas would be appreciated.
