I can't comment on manufacturing, but as far as distribution goes, you 
should only need to change the inventory calendar for March.  Unless you 
have accounting dates activated in the financials, they will post based 
upon the period number keyed in so there isn't necessarily a reason to 
change the G/L calendar, but then its only a two minute task.

[SYSTEM21] March Month/End Date Change






For reasons I won't go into, our company has decided they want to close 
March on the 30th instead of the 31st. 

My question is this.....Shouldn't I go into the various Calendar file 
Maintenance options and change the Open/Close dates for periods 3 & 4, 
otherwise the last day of March will report to period 3 and not to period 
4?  Also any queries which use the period for its selection, which I know 
we have some that exist, will not report properly also.

Please let me know if my thinking is correct.  As always, thank you in 
advance.
