Prior to Financial Analyzer, TM1 was used - 1/AX was the extract from the
G/L to TM1. I guess the same csv files are being used. I remember with
TM1 we had to build up the YTD figures due to some quirks with the way the
Financial database is structured. The period balance file is only up to
date for the current period and history. Future periods only hold the
period balance in the YTD fields. These are then updated when you advance
the period. Also the extract only processes transactions and not
balances. The retained earnings is adjusted at year end and there is not
an actual posting therefore this needed to handled in TM1. You probably
have the same issues.

Subject
[SYSTEM21] 1/AX producing incorrect YTD values

Hello there,

We're thinking about using Geac Performance Analyzer, a part of which is
the System21 menu 1/AX. We've set it up to give us Fiscal YTD values, but
they're coming out wrong. The problem is that if there was no activity
for
an account in a given month, the YTD value does not come through, even
though previous months had activity. There may also be more to this
problem
but that's what I've observed so far. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks in advance,

Jason Tovey
