Correct me if I am wrong. Just as a trial I did set a user up a user with user class *USER and Group profile QUSER with command line authority. Now when I do wrkmbrpdm on a source file outside JBA the user does not have authority to edit but view (*public = *use) but inside JBA the same user has authority to edit. I think for some reason irrespective of what the user is set up as I think JBA adopts QPGMR authority to everyone who is in JBA. I went a further step and added the user with *exclude for the library and the source file he is trying to access. The authorities works good outside JBA but once in JBA he has all auth of QPGMR irrespective of what his user profile says. Also I agree with Diana. We were told that QPGMR should have all obj auth. One of the reason is the CL programs that create work file will quit working as these programs are not complied with *OWNER in JBA Please let me know your thoughts Thanks Ram S. I have some users that run AS/400 queries from command line. These users then have almost all authorities as a SECOFR. Please let me know Thanks Ram S. I need to know is that how you set your users too. Also can someone let me know how QPGMR user profile is set up in your system, Like what special authorities you have given to QPGMR. Should QPGMR have *allobj authority because JBA uses this profile for its process. Your time and help is appreciated. Thanks Ram S.
