BBAL15 should match the ledger. SLP20/BTMT20 summarized should balance to BBAL15: Questions for you to consider: 1) Did someone perform a "Post to Post Inhibit Accounts" on the post inhibited Sales account? (That's a no-no generally speaking by the way and should only be used as the absolute last resort once the problem has been identified). 2) Do you have any Sessions or Accounts not posted through (EVNT15/20 = 0 or FLP008/UPDNOG = 0 or -1)? 3) Do you have any "rounding errors" account postings relating to AR posting? 4) Do you have future period postings i.e. period 0510 for example that you are not considering in your analysis? GEAC used to have a defined recovery process to reconcile AR/AP to GL if you are a support customer. In general, it is in your best interest to research the differences between 1) SLP15(PLP15 for AP) and SLP20/PLP20, then 2) reconciled SLP15/PLP15 to FLP007 / FLP008. Your answer lies in there somewhere. You may also simply consider performing a SL and GL rebuild (using the "verify" option first to view the details, of course). Skipping to this step may or may not work, but will not isolate your initial concern as to the problem. Best of Luck. -----Original Message----- From: Gary Shipp [mailto:g.shipp@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 6:19 AM To: system21 Subject: [SYSTEM21] Aged Debt total balance Can anyone tell me where the Total Balance on the Aged Debt report (SL410) comes from please? I am currently investigating a discrepancy between our sales control account and the sales ledger. However, I cannot find where on earth the Aged Debt balance is being calculated from as it seems to bear no resemblance to either BBAL on SLP15 or BCRB on SLP06. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- Whatever you Wanadoo: http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/time/ This email has been checked for most known viruses - find out more at: http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/help/id/7098.htm _______________________________________________ This is the System 21 Users (SYSTEM21) mailing list To post a message email: SYSTEM21@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/system21 or email: SYSTEM21-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/system21.
