Funnily enough I asked the same question last week to GEAC account rep and below is the "official" response - noncommittal as usual but it seems it should be OK. System21 Aurora & OS/400 V5R3M0 Geac has completed the testing of System21 Aurora V1.2 using OS/400 V5R3 platform. No issues were found during the testing. Extensive testing was carried out on the new Database SQL Optimizer, the results of which have shown that this has not caused any significant problems with System21 Aurora. Geac therefore certifies System21 Aurora for running on the OS/400 V5R3 platform. It is expected that all other supported release levels of System21 will operate normally under this release. It should be acknowledged that changes made in V5R3 could cause a problem in some of the many possible configurations of System21. It would be impossible to test all these configurations therefore in the unlikely event of a problem being found this should be reported using AnswerLink / Problem Recording clearly identifying in the problem that you believe it to be a OS/400 V5R3 problem. Such problems will be given top priority.
