Back in "99, I was at a company using IQ Objects.  It allowed the user
to attempt to join a couple of files which had no relevant connecting
data, so it went 1 by 1 thru all fields in both files giving the user
it's best shot at connecting, say an employee master with an item master
file.  Caught it just in time or it would have froze the system.

Hey what can I say this is the friendliest user group I know, so here
goes:

We're using a model S20 at V4R2, yesterday at 3:00 pm DASD utilization
was
at 75% then two hours after it was at 99.6% effectively shaving off a
few
years off my like expectancy. After re-IPL it was back down to 72%.
What
gives? Anyone have this happen before?
