Alan, There is a flag in the production item master that must be set to "orders" in order to set an item as a purchased item. THe flag is in the "Additional Parameters" portion of the production details. On the first screen of production details, simply press F18 (Shift-F6) and you will see the additional parameters screen. Change the first field to blank or 0 and you will be able to save the item as a purchased item. Thanks, Anthony Moore Sara Lee US Foods West Point, MS Office: 662-495-4712 Cell: 662-295-4712 "Kincer, Alan" <akincer@xxxxxxxxx To: System 21 Users <system21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > cc: Sent by: Subject: [SYSTEM21] Production details item type system21-bounces@m idrange.com 04/20/2004 01:25 PM Please respond to System 21 Users In 3/MDM I am trying to change an item type from 'M' to 'P' Upon pressing Enter I get a message that says "Route defined for this item - F14 to accept." Upon F14'ing I am taken to the next screen where I am to press F8 to update. However at this point I get the message ... "UMS0121 Schedule Control only valid for Production Items (Item Type 'M')". What do I need to do to be able to change this item type? Would there be negative repercussions doing so? Thank you...
