Maybe I'm missing something obvious here... Please tell me if I am...

You are currently sending along a paper copy of the invoice with the shipment and getting the delivery agent (presumably a truck driver) to wait for a signature on said invoice as POD, right...?

So why couldn't you simply send a copy of either a Packing List, or a Shipper instead (neither of which shows the selling price)...?

Mind you, we don't use JBA for creating Shippers (I think you call them Despatch Notes across the pond)... We use a third party... And we do almost 100% EDI so no POD required...

Cheers

Subject: [SYSTEM21] POD's
Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 18:06:58 +0000

Hi folks,

Something that we're currently looking at using for one customer is POD's.
Primarily we have a customer that doesn't want the cost price of the
goods bought being shown to his individual stores. Now we use our
invoices as POD as the customer has to sign it at time of delivery. So
I'm looking at trying to get a 'piece of paper' off the system for the
customer to sign, but can't seem to find anything.

Is there such a piece of paper as standard or is POD's really only useful
with EDI.

TIA

Jon
