Our annual cost has gone up dramatically over the last three years. Our annual maintenance is now equal to what we paid for the product! Anyway, has anyone done an analysis to compare updating tax rates and submission forms manually versus paying for this service? Can this even be done with Vertex? On another hand, has anyone investigated integrating other tax software (like Taxware) with System 21? The System 21/Vertex integration seems to be very complex and pervasive throughout the system. We collect sales or use tax over 45 states. It is used for only a small percentage of our business, but that segment is very important. BTW, we are using Vertex sales tax calculation (TDM?) and their Quantum returns software (PC based system that extracts data from Vertex and prepares the returns).
