I have seen the same issue with display and print of AFPDS acting differently. I believe I had to adjust print over to solve it. I suspect it has to do with some conversion to AFPDS... true AFPDS uses coordinate positioning (over, down) and you may be using line/character position on your output fields. _______________________________________________ > thanks for that Jack > > > > Got a small problem now I have 2 variables printing one after the other > with > 2 spaces in between. > > when I display the spool file it shows 2 spaces properly but when it > prints > last 2 characters in the first variable overlap with the first 2 chars of > the second variable. > > > > Is there any way to activate the COR function (Computer Output Reduction) > for printer files that has device type *AFPDS ? > > I tried *COR and *AUT against PAGRTT doesn't look like its working. > > > > Thanks > > Janith > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <welchj@xxxxxxxx> > To: "System 21 Users" <system21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2003 1:02 PM > Subject: Re: [SYSTEM21] Printer file issue > > >> Janith, >> >> Check/change the CPI (characters per inch) setting on the printer file. >> >> If A4 paper is 297 mm across landscaped, about 11.6875 inches, >> then 10 cpi will print about 116 characters >> 12 cpi about 140 char. >> 13.3 cpi about 155 char. >> 15 cpi about 175 char. >> >> >> Jack >> >> _______________________________________________ >> >> >> > Hi All >> > >> > I have a printer file with the device type *SCS (PAGESIZE 33 132) and > when >> > I >> > print the spool file from a remote writer the system changes the > character >> > size and prints landscape just the way I want it. >> > >> > I recently changed this printer file device type to *AFPDS and it > doesn't >> > adjust the font to suite the A4 paper and also its printing portrait. >> I >> > changed the PAGRTT to 90 in the printer file and now its printing >> > landscape >> > but haven't changed the font size and some lines are overlapping. >> > >> > Does any one know a quick remedy for this ? >> > >> > Thanks for your time >> > >> > Regards >> > >> > Janith >> > >> > >> > _______________________________________________ >> > This is the System 21 Users (SYSTEM21) mailing list >> > To post a message email: SYSTEM21@xxxxxxxxxxxx >> > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, >> > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/system21 >> > or email: SYSTEM21-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx >> > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives >> > at http://archive.midrange.com/system21. >> > >> >> _______________________________________________ >> This is the System 21 Users (SYSTEM21) mailing list >> To post a message email: SYSTEM21@xxxxxxxxxxxx >> To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, >> visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/system21 >> or email: SYSTEM21-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx >> Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives >> at http://archive.midrange.com/system21. >> > > _______________________________________________ > This is the System 21 Users (SYSTEM21) mailing list > To post a message email: SYSTEM21@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/system21 > or email: SYSTEM21-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/system21. >
