Hi all,

My company is getting ready to upgrade our iSeries to a new model 810.
Our current model has been retired, and we need additional capacity.

We will be staying in the same processor tier, and will also be keeping
the same serial number. Will we need new authorization codes from JBA due
to the model number change?

We have been off of maintenance for a few years, and I doubt our CFO would
be happy if we had to get back on maintenance just to get new codes. We
are happy with the software as it is, and do not need any new releases.

Has anyone done a model change (with same serial and tier)?

If so, how did it go?

Thanks,
Joe
