I liked Neville's response and would add that we had used it at one of our divisions for a few years before we sold that division. Only one person really knew how to use it and it was not something you could just pick up the book and read and start using... We really relied heavily on consulting and training to get it implemented... We had a mod to allow a link into the G/L for update... We had an intermittent problem with one of the programs corrupting the data when entering time sheets... We never did figure out the cause of that one...

We were using it to track tooling and prototype costs. We did not find the invoicing module useful so we did all invoices on an Excel spreadsheet with direct postings into A/R. We had separate customer numbers set up just for tooling since we did not want to confuse the accounting for live production with any prototyping or other startup costs... We entered time sheets against the jobs and kept track of commitments against the PO's...

I would also add that the code in this module is some of the most poorly written I have seen in the JBA package... I do not consider this a very stable module. While there are success stories out there, Neville apparently among them, I caution that it is not a very intuitive module and will require training and consultation and probably some code tweaking to get it to function the way you envision it should.

Good luck.
