This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] This flag is only really used if you set on the following code in Maintain Country Specific Parameters: 014 Accounting calendar active? You shouldn't change any of these codes without checking with your friendly neighborhood support desk. Basically this functionality prevents posting to a closed period and stops posting to periods such as 2002 (period 02 in 2020). The update of the flags is automatic although you can manually open a period if you purposely want to post to a future period or if you wish to post to a prior 'closed' period. If the flag for function 014 is not set on then you should not be affected by the setting. If this is a feature you think you would like to set on then as always TEST THOROUGHLY before making the change in live. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I recently discovered via 31/GLA, that this flag in FLP067 on our system is sporadically updated with a "0" or "1", when by definition all closed periods should have a "0" and only the current period should have a "1". Posting programs appear to reference this field only when VAT register processing is active. Can anyone validate for me that assumption? Additionally, what, if any, repercussions are there if I have the user manually update the flag using 31/GLA? We're running version 3.5.0. Thanks in advance.
