-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Gary: If the current Stocking UOM = BX and the current Issue UOM = 'BT' (bottles), then AOE will allow the Sales Orders to be ordered in either of those UOMs. Of course, the default value is the Issue UOM - so if the item was set-up in this way the order entry would have to specify 'BX' for most of your customers, while taking the default on your "special" bottle-ordering customer. To ensure that the right UOM defaults in for the right customer would probably entail a complex modification (establish a field at the customer/item level that flags a particular item for a particular customer as ordering with a Stock UOM, then modify the OE functions to look-up this customer value and then default in the proper UOM for the order line. You could try to use the Alternative Item Reference function to establish the customers that would order the item in the Stocking UOM (use a special value for the ALTT Descriptions File).
