Scott, Items must be defined in the Production Details Maintenance to set up standard cost. It is not an MPS vs DRP issue. You must simply define the item in production details as a valid production item type. It should have been a DRP part. Sorry, got my acronyms jumbled. Anyway, I tried to set a standard on a part that was not set-up in MPS. I got the message: "This Item is not defined in Production." I am not sure what you mean by a DPS part, but all of our parts in System 21 can be costed using the MDC screens. We currently have a MPS parts costed at Standard and our DPS parts costed at FIFO. We want to change our costing method to standard for all parts. We currently use the /MDC screens to set Standard Cost, but these screens do not work on DPS Parts. Is there another way to set standard cost? _______________________________________________ This is the GEAC/JBA System 21 Users (JBAUSERS-L) mailing list To post a message email: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/jbausers-l or email: JBAUSERS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/jbausers-l.
