This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] If you are just at the planning stage the easiest way (as far as account maintenance goes) to consolidate is where the source and target accounts are the same. However sometimes it makes sense to have data summarized in the target G/L. This means a simpler chart structure but additional maintenance is required. Remember that you can't consolidate into a post inhibited account so some maintenance is going to be necessary anyway. I would recomend testing 2 periods before going live with this as there used to be a problem that manifested itself on the second consolidation. This should be OK now but its well worth checking. Richard _______________________________________________ "Neil Thursby" <neil.thursby@fone-logistics.co.uk> We are about to set-up consolidation between three GL companies. One is the "parent" and the other two need to consolidate into it. Just wondered if there's anything we should know before we make a start? Thanks in advance, Neil.
