We have always used the date for the batch number -----Original Message----- From: jbausers-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:jbausers-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Prill, Steve Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 12:43 PM To: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com Subject: JBA ML - Auto assign A/P Batch Numbers We recently turned on the "Use batch controls" flag in the A/P control file. We now have to put a batch number in every time we confirm log entries (2/APP). This is a manual entry and you can use whatever number you want for the batch. The next batch numbers are kept on a piece of paper and you know how that goes. Our finance department has requested that we investigate auto assigning the batch number. Has anyone already implemented this that can give me some insight into the effort that was involved in doing this. Thank you in advance for your comments. Steve Prill I.S.
