PS - We take QINTER down every night along with all the background jobs, just to make sure that the AMDAYEND job can run without encountering a lock on the APG25PHY (Library List) file...!!! Our users are used to this happening at about 1:30 AM - and there's usually no activity at that time anyway... I start it back up 1/2 hour later so not much down time... I feel it's important to run the AMDAYEND every night and this is the cleanest way to insure all users are off the system... If you're running three shifts then it's hard to actually take Qinter down each night but you should be able to find some down time somewhere...
