This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Mike, The way system 21 loads the workstation (essentially) is in 24 hour buckets per part number. So if you run several items on a line - it fills the line with "order" or "demand" quantities (based on production lead times - cycle times on the route(s)) for each part number so two part numbers = 48 hours etc. If you are fortunate to have production cells built to match the customers usual demand it really isn't too bad. There are also some ways to cope using MPS production details rules and the built in Capacity reports and inquiries for visibility before getting down to the work station, but suffice it to say - system 21 is not a finite or APS based (capacity) planning system.. I should note that I have not yet had the opportunity to test in version 3.5.2 SP4. We were looking at another package that offers finite capacity loading and wondered how effective JBA's functionality is? (We're currently not using it.) Thanks in advance.
