It seems as if Ameritech had a major failure this morning, which has
affected virtually all of the toll-free numbers in the US. They are working
to correct the problem and say they expect to have it resolved within a few
hours.

We were told the SMS data base, the main data base for 800 numbers is down.
Maybe they didn't pay their phone bill.
