Hi Michael Just saw your posting on the list. I have seen something like this before in our HK business and it always happened in the first few days of the month. When analysed it was found that the finance people did not input new month exchange rates until late on first or sometime on second working day of the new month. They then mad the new rate effective until the end of the month. Guess what!!! That means the rate expires at end of month and new rate is not yeat entered and this csrews the system up something terrible and everything defaults to rate of 1.00000. Simple fix was that new rates are made effective until end of succeeding month. They are of cours overridden when the new rates are entered in the next month. Dont know if that is your problem but one to keep in mind BR Rick Michael berman <mxb1@start.com.au>@midrange.com on 03/10/2001 12:28:36 Please respond to jbausers-l@midrange.com Sent by: jbausers-l-admin@midrange.com Please respond to jbausers-l@midrange.com To: "JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com" <JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com> cc: Subject: JBA ML - AP & Journal Payments. I have a little problem that I hope someone can help me with. Please note when we are doing a journal receipt no problems at all picks up the rates, also when cash receipting this works fine but when we attempt to do a jnl payment the rate will not default, we have to force the rate and receive following error message as per copy below. We have both an AUD to USD and USD to AUD rate specified in the ROE2 exchange rate table. Any idea why I get a "Conversion rate does not exist between item currency and base currency." message?
