Seriously though: If the install routine does not have a progress bar that's
a serious UI ommission (and probably part of why most developers farm the
tasks out to InstallShield). Terminal Services, in my experience, has been
pretty reliable (though most Citrix types might take issue with me on that).
If there's not any subsequent info on setting up new users I'd put this one
on AnswerLink. This case sounds like a good example of why they should list
their tech support issues on a TechNet-style Web site.

Just a thought...

I have set up the server and one client in Explorer.  We are using a Windows
NT 4.0 server with Windows 98 Clients.  Has anyone setup Explorer in a
similar environment that has instructions/documentation for setting up and
maintaining new users on the server and the Clients workstation?

The Geac documentation lacks in using Explorer on a network.  There is an
Information Sheet #341 geared toward setting up Explorer on NT Terminal
Server 4.0 that shows how to set up users during the initial install by
doing various copies and renames but does not discuss how to setup new users
after the initial install.

Do I need to copy an existing user like the Information Sheet states?  If I
run setup on the clients PC and use SETUP.EXE from the their server, should
I be signed on as the new user that I am setting up?

Also, Explorer takes about 3 minutes to start locally at the client without
any indication that it is loading.  Is anyone else experiencing long load
times?  Are you using it remotely?  I know this depends on different
variables.  We are running 100GB Ethernet on Pentium III PC's.  When I
installed Explorer stand-alone on a PC it started almost immediately.

I am hoping to eliminate the problem of maintaining Explorer on each client
by putting it on a network but I am finding it a bit frustrating.
