I wonder if this is also somehow related to the "Activity Control" (MJ10)
there are some inventory and costing flags there, but most importantly
check to see how the "Reporting Type" (being used at the time of scrap
reporting) is related to the/which "Processing profile" from Inventory
Management and how that profile is set up.

Any opinions?

Yes, Look in chapter five on page 164, in the Generic Manufacturing
Documentation FOB's. It's FB332.
There is a new manufacturing parameter (BREC). Not much reading there. Hope
this helps.
