I'm not sure if/how the INP35F extension file is actually used within the
application (see below), so I don't think CLRPFM would be the right approach...
Surgically removing any records that do not have a match in INP35 would be
cleanest IMHO...

The programs I find this file in are :

This is for the Logical file INP35F1P
IN002 - Item maintenance
IN018 - Item/stockroom enquiry
IN572 - Stockmovements Print
IN574 - Fiscal Close Movements Consolidation
IN576 - Movement Analysis Window
IN577 - Cost Analysis Window
IN578 - Cost Analysis Maintenance
IN580 - Cost Analysis (initial setup) - Update
IN581 - Cost Analysis Setup - Maintenance
IN584 - Item Valuation Group Maintenance/Enquiry
IN586 - Revaluation Batch function
IN587 - Define opening LIFO balances
IN807 - Copy 'Based On' Item Creation submission program
IN808 - Copy 'Based On' Item Creation - Inventory Details
OE415 - POD adjustments entry (Just added in PTF P#OEC20012 )

This is for the Physical file INP35F
IN352 - Packaging Item Maintenance
IN356 - Data Extract - Extract
IN360 - Packaging Item Enquiry
IN575 - Cost Analysis Update

So if you're not using any of these then no worries...

Later...

Subject RE: JBA MLRE: Item Deletion
  :

This is the word I got from answerlink when I posed the question about the
item deletion utility:

This is fixed in SP4, ptf INV30159. The workaround is to delete the INP35F
and INP35A.

I personally would clear the file rather than delete it.
