RE: General Ledger Detail/Header

It's very common in the Sales/Purchase ledger for balances across
S/PLP06/07/10/11/15
not to balance out for various reasons. Have you checked for detail records
with no 
event numbers? Have you checked (in P/L) that the detail records exclude log
records.

Once a year I run queries over the above files to outfiles, giving me one
record per account
in each file. I then match the files up to highlight any differences on an
account by account basis, making it relatively easy to sort out any
problems.
