I saw that our web order entry solution had been mentioned in discussions amongst the group. I would like to clarify that our solution is both "off the shelf" and capable of being customized. The key, we've found, to adding e-commerce capability to an ERP system such as JBA is what we are calling a "transaction engine." This engine is indeed "off the shelf". The "front-end," that is, the actual appearance of the Web Site, generally is customized to some degree to present the Company's image, and to tailor functionality. It has been our experience that the front end is virtually always customized whatever product or tool is being used. We have some additional discussion of e-enabling legacy systems on our web site: www.infoalt.com. Thank you.
