The logic of reading INP95 records after the month-end to reverse them out
does make sense, but I agree that it may not be very efficient.
Unfortunately a lot of SQL was put into System21 without anyone considering
the performance implications, and some has subsequently been taken out
again.  

If you did make any changes to this routine, then the month-end report
(IN056?) may not work properly if you run the inventory month-end after
entering any transactions for the following month (based on the inventory
calendar).  I am not sure what else uses the starting period balance.
